About Me

I’m an author with many aspirations, amongst which sampling chocolate from every country in the world and catching up on lots of missed sleep.

An avid reader, I’ve been writing fiction far longer than anybody’s been paying attention. I’m fascinated by the untapped potential of digital content, particularly when it comes to indie publishing and the online fiction community.

I’m the Editor-in-chief of 1889 Labs, commissioning projects and generally ordering people around. I co-host the online fiction podcast Webfiction World; see the full list of episode archives. I’ve also volunteered as an editor for Web Fiction Guide and run qazyfiction, a webfiction project.

For fellow writers, I try to do my bit by running a review blog, quillsandzebras, plus a directory of indie book reviewers.

Some wonderful places that have featured my stories are: Flashes In The Dark, 12 Days 2010, The Random Eye & the charity anthology Tales for Canterbury. See the short stories page for further details.

During the daytime I work at a legal publishers’. I live in London, a city not half as foggy as some seem to think.
